3. Oct 2, 2022 / Husqvarna Z246 spring, deck belt came off. #1. Husqvarna zero turn Z246 - "spring, deck belt" came off. I scalped a ridge on my lawn and the mover blades stopped turning. I found a large spring on the ground, I am fairly certain it is the part called "spring, deck belt". Also the belt is now very loose. If the blades were previously adjusted improperly, they might not engage properly. Check to ensure that the blades are not loose. If they are, tighten them securely with a socket wrench. I am having terrible issues with the deck skipping grass or leaving "trails" of grass at about center of the deck. This is a brand new machine for this year. May 2, 2021 / New Husqvarna MZ54. #1. Finally was able to get the new Zero Turn MZ54 delivered on Thursday and started mowing with it on Saturday morning. Mowed for about 2 hours and then the blades stopped. Upon inspection, I see that the spring on the idler for the deck belt is broke. Not a good look for a brand new mower.
