Canon has released their latest lens for the RF system the Canon RF 24mm f/1.8 Macro. Featuring lens stabilization, a low min focusing distance, and small design the RF 24mm will make a great addition to any photographer’s bag. The RF 24mm f/1.8 has a minimum focusing distance of 5.5 inches making it a great macro lens as well. I want as wide as I can go, so I usually have a fisheye chugging away on a 5DIII while the 6D gets either the 24 or 14 f/2.8L II USM. Going to get my M in on the show next time with its 8mm f/3.5 Rokinon. I love being able to go as open as f/1.4, though, because the f/4 of the fisheye is annoying and kinda noisy at ISO 6400.

Sigma has announced the “world’s widest” f/1.4 prime lens: the 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art. The company says this new optic was born from our engineers’ passion for capturing the widest

After all, a good lens during the day might be a dud for resolving pinpoint stars in a photo’s corners at night. Here, I’ve tested five popular wide-angle lenses for astrophotography: the Laowa 12mm f/2.8, Rokinon 14mm f/2.4, Samyang 14mm f/2.8, Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8, and Irix 15mm f/2.4. How do they compare?
The Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS II USM is an excellent telephoto lens for DSLR cameras. The Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM is another fine lens in the company’s Art range, yet comes at a price

EOS 6D/ EF35mm f/1.4L II USM/ FL: 35mm/ Manual Exposure (f/1.4, 10 sec.)/ ISO 2000/ WB: Auto Astounding performance even at maximum aperture of f/1.4. Astrophotography captures two very different subject matters of celestial bodies and scenery in one photo, enabling depiction of a world that the human eye cannot envision.
The Sigma 12-24mm F4 DG HSM Art was first announced September 16th, 2016. This is Sigma's widest zoom lens offering to date and joins Sigma's growing list of Art lenses. The lens is priced at just under $1600, which makes it a fierce competitor to Canon's EF 11-24mm F4L USM lens which is priced at just under $3,000. Recent Videos.
NWPhil's post | #6. I would recommend Samyang 14mm f/2.8, 24mm is just too narrow to capture milkyway in a single shot. Also 14mm gives you longer exposures without startrails. You are what you eat - I dont remember eating a photographer.
